Default 84 Corvette.... Carb Intake question

OK welll I have a 84 Corvette that has been converted from the crossfire to just a single carburated engine off was I think is a 81 or so Vette... My questions is what aftermarket Intake manifold would help me performance wise but yet still fit under my hood without modifications. And what size of cam would you all recommend? I am kinda new to the carburated side. Thanks guys for any imput.

With your limited hood clearance it is kinda hard to reccomend an intake. I would think something along the lines of a performer rpm intake would be a good intake if you don't have it already. You could always put a cowl induction hood on and gain a little clearance but it would be a bit much just to put a better intake on.

I think the best bet is a victor junior intake. That and the performer are both low but the performer sucks. Unless you dont want much power above 5500 RPM, the performer is perfect.

other low profile intakes are the torker2 and the weiand excelerator.
i agree, the performer intakes suck. even the air gap and perf. rpm.

You won't be able to fit a performer RPM under a stock hood unless you use a dropped air cleaner. Torker is not a great intake, but better than the performer. You might be able to fit a Team G low rise under there...
