84 Corvette.... Carb Intake question OK welll I have a 84 Corvette that has been converted from the crossfire to just a single carburated engine off was I think is a 81 or so Vette... My questions is what aftermarket Intake manifold would help me performance wise but yet still fit under my hood without modifications. And what size of cam would you all recommend? I am kinda new to the carburated side. Thanks guys for any imput.
With your limited hood clearance it is kinda hard to reccomend an intake. I would think something along the lines of a performer rpm intake would be a good intake if you don't have it already. You could always put a cowl induction hood on and gain a little clearance but it would be a bit much just to put a better intake on.
I think the best bet is a victor junior intake. That and the performer are both low but the performer sucks. Unless you dont want much power above 5500 RPM, the performer is perfect.
i agree, the performer intakes suck. even the air gap and perf. rpm.

You won't be able to fit a performer RPM under a stock hood unless you use a dropped air cleaner. Torker is not a great intake, but better than the performer. You might be able to fit a Team G low rise under there...
