I'm running a GM Bowtie block stroked 4 inches and bored 4.125 inches, 427 cubic inches, hydraulic roller with solid lifters 562/571 248/258 @.050 112lsa, GM Vortec Bowtie 215cc large port heads with 2.02 and 1.6 valves, compression is 12.5:1, 850 cfm carb, Super Victor 2926 manifold, 1 7/8ths headers, 700r4 transmission, 3000 stall, 4.56 Moser 12 bolt, 29X10 slick. The car is made for spray, N/A I ran the best of 11.3@121. The 10.6@128 was with a 100 shot. I only got to run the 125 shot in the 1/8th and picked up 3 mph and 3 tenths(6.80@101 to 6.50@104. The car doesn't hook very well, best 60ft 1.45. I feel that the bowtie heads are just too small for 427 cubic inches, that is why I picked up a new set of heads plus the price was right. I'm hoping for significant gains with these new heads and more lift from the 1.7 rocker arms; although, taking some weight out would help a lot.
