need engine id help vortech or pre 86? have a gm goodwrench 305 that has a roller cam set up in it from the factory and old style heads not ceter bolts casting number10243878 what kind of enginge is it vortech or what it has a one peice rear main as well head castings are 14014416 ive never seen one like this its like it has a vortech bottem end and pre 86 top end ps this engine is in stock form from gm with the made in mexico on the back

Next time use some better typing skills as its hard to understand what your asking... Yes the block is a vortec block with a roller cam. But you got shafted on the heads by being given the HO 305 heads instead of the Vortec 305 heads which flow better with more power. So if this is a new motor as im getting what you have said then I would call back pissed as hell if you ordered a L30 and recieved this instead.
