Default Building 406 for 89 camaro

So i currently have a sbc 350 and just picked up a 406sbc. I need some opinions on this motor. It will be going in a drag only car. Im wanting to be in the 450-500hp range (car to run 11's). Heres the list ive started with

Crankshaft: N4003750 Nodular Iron SBC 400 mains, 3.750" stroke
Forged Rods: I5700P SBC 5.700" press fit w/ 3/8" bolts and nuts
Pistons: (already have) Forged weisco piston #5016H4
Cam: Need opinions
Pushrods/lifters: need opinions
Intake: Use the Edelbroke preformer off of 350

Im looking at the ls1 stock heads as i can find them very cheap and will upgrade at a later time. Ill be running the street class

is this post for real? if you don't know that LS based heads won't fit on a Gen I block, you shouldn't be building race car.

but anyway....why did you pick up a 406 when your 350 block with the crank you listed would have got you to your goals very easily?

they do make a gen 1 block that you can put ls1 heads on. Ill assume you meant lt1 as in the old camaro/vette in the 70s.

My 406 with stout lower end Comp roller, Brodix heads, one 950HP on a Victor intake makes 601 HP. Also has over the frame headers.

Al 62 Chevy II, 406, TH400, narrowed 9" Ford w/locker. See it in my garage.
