Default Turbo vortec 350--Turbo opinions Please !

Bone stock 97 vortec 350. 255hp and 330tq, performer rpm air gap intake and a holley 650 carb. With a single turbo / (ebay DNA motoring gt45)

Compressor Size: Inlet = 4 3/16", Inducer = 68.7MM, Exducer = 97.8 MM, Trim = 69,A/R = 0.66, Intake (ID / OD) = 2.25" / 3.25"

Turbine: Outlet = 4", Turbo flange = T4, Downpipe flange = 3.5" V-band, Inducer = 87.4 MM, Exducer = 77 MM,Trim = 92, A/R = 1.05

3400 lb / 88 monte carlo / 700r4 / 3.73 gear...daily drivable car preferably with boost building down low around 1500 to 2000 rpm. Not shooting for anything exact power wise but would like to get into the 11.99 et or quicker range.

Any opinions / advise ? I would like to know if this turbo would do good or should I run 2 of them. probally looking for no more than 8lbs to start with but maybe up to 12lbs later...

I know my friend had a vortec running 22lbs and washed the rings out in 6 months.

Ive actually heard decent things about DNA and Godspeed turbos, cheap to rebuild!
intercooler, intercooler, intercooler, specially with the cheaper turbos. keep ur intake temps down and plus a nice big fmic always looks badass

Have you thought about a bov or a recic system? my friend had throttle issues with a bov and went to a recic system

Go research the grenade story, LOTS of info in that thread
