Default Tranny crisis

well i shouldnt say tranny i guess. But i got my engine rebuilt ect ect, i went to go put everything back in and my torque converter keeps butting up tightly against my fly wheel. Its so tight i cant turn it. Its on both splines and in the pump splines to, it popped in all three times. i took the tranny out and tried putting the torque converter in that way but still it was almost flush with the bell housing so i know its not going in all of the way but its being pushed in as far as it will go. WHATS GOING ON!? i kow im doing this right ive done it plenty of times. Its the same engine and same fly wheel that came out when i sent it to get rebuilt. and the same tranny and same torque converter. Its an 87 camaro with a th350 in it and 355SBC. HELP!

the convertor pads needs to be about 3/4" behind the face of the tranny where it bolts to the block. You probably don't have the pump ears lined up.

Lift up on the front of the convertor a little bit while turning it. Takes patience if you haven't done a lot of them.

I also wiggle the converter as I turn it left and right.
