I'd just be curious about the bearings. When I worked in the automotive industry I seen this all of the time. It's crazy to think the cheapest insurance you can do on a vehicle is the oil change, and people still neglect to do it.

Throw a 5.3 with a small cam in it and drive it
That's what I'm doing with mine for the 7.5 index class.

It is already set up as a sbc car, i dont have to change a thing, so its staying a sbc car until i get a motor built for my z06, then it will become a ls car

Well, adapter plates are 50$, otherwise it's headers that would be the thing to figure out.

I'm ready to try this index thing, never done it before but it will be fun.

So what's going to happen to the motor you're pulling out? I'll gladly trade you my 3.08 for your 3.73 gears!

Swap axles, you wanting to do a whole rear swap or just gears? I can easily package these gears up and have them shipped out. I've been busy stabbing my motor I'm my car, slowly coming together.

Well Im at a stand still. The glorious previous owner decided to rev it to the moon and floated the valves. how do I know you ask. well 11 pushrods are bent, 1 of those had one of the ball ends hammered off and 11 retaining clips to hold the plunger in the hydraulic lifters are MIA. So in short I need pushrods, Im gunna get those tomorrow and finish up the valve train.

From this ......

Lots of brake cleaner and gasoline and a big ole mess to get it to this ......

Default your 8.8

Did you do a axle package from moser and have them made to your specs. What about the 8.8 housing those are just 9 inch housing ends right?
