Default 85 camaro disc brakes?
does anyone know if 3rd gen camaros came factory with rear disc brakes? if so what years?

I know for sure it was an extra cost option on the 84 and 86 Z28's that I ordered. And was optional on the other years as well.

it couldn't have been factory. I bought an 87 and it had drums in the back.

3rd gen 4 wheel disc brakes were available as an option starting in 1983. Back in the day, I had a 1983 5sp Z28 with 4 wheels disc brakes.

All years, 1982-1992, had rear disc brakes as an option. The 82-88 iron caliper setup is unreliable, too small, and heavy. The 89-92 PBRs are much better, and are the same design as the LT1 cars.
