Default 380whp 305???
Hey guys buddy at work has an 89 305 camaro, 5 speed, trickflow heads, cam, headers, and a vortech blower which he claims to be on 10=12lbs of boost. He claims to be at 380-400 whp does this sound right??

Thats what i thought, but i have seen video of a guy who had a built 305 with a procharger only make mid 300 at the tire...who knows that guy did have stock heads that were ported.

Boost can make anything put out power. Those numbers sound right to me.

Sounds like he is full of ****. That 5 speed (T-5) would explode under 400whp.

How d you know its a stock t5? Could be an Astro or GForce unit with upgraded gearset and main. Or a Tremec or Doug Nash/Richmond.

There have been 305's in the 9's, so I wouldn't judge them all based on one video. Numbers he's claiming are believable.

I have had stock T5s dies behind a stock 350 with a 100 shot and live behind a 500+ HP 383. They are hit and miss.
