Default New motor for 2000 Chevy Tahoe LT

Hey what's going on everyone. I'm looking for some helpful advise from anyone. I got this 2000 Chevy Tahoe LT 5.3l v8. It's time for a new motor and did not have the option to rebuild my old engine. My thoughts were to buy a remanufactured 5.3 and beef it up a little bit but keeping it under $10000. There's a lot of great minds on this site so any input is helpful. Thanks.

Might want to head on over to performancetrucks.net. Its our sister site for trucks. They can help you swap in an ls1 or an lq9

Go with an LQ4 and really pump up the power. We offer a reman LQ4 with Cam/Spring upgrade that pushes 460HP and will basically swap in with a tune.
