I'm going to adjust my valves today', using this method. My timing marks are set at 12 o'clock & 12 o'clock tdc #1 on the exhaust stroke. Will it be okay to start adjusting my valves with the marks like this? Because if I use the eoic method it shouldn't matter which stroke it's on right? As long as I turn it back to 12&12 before I drop the distributor ?

The EOIC method ensures that the valve you are going to adjust is on the "back side" or base of the cam lobe for an accurate adjustment. Might take a little getting used to, but definitely the recommended way of doing it.

Im using summit roller tip rockers, and I planned on adjusting them using the eoic method. I was going to adjust them by spinning the push rod while turning the adjusting nut to zero lash then 1/2 turn for the perload because i have hyd flat tappet lifters. After i do the 1/2 turn for the preload am i done or is there a specific torque? because of there not being a poly lock like a full roller rocker.
