Default what do I have here?

So i recently aquired a sbc 383 stroker "kit". Its a late 70s-early 80s 350 4 bolt main, bored .060 over(so a 388 technically, i believe), scat crank(not forged), 6 inch rods(with no markings at all to determine brand), double roller edelbrock timing chain and gears, timing cover, oil pan, rod and main bearings, and stock 350 heads.

I am very new to anything along these lines. What do I have the capability to do without spending a ton of money? I would like to build a decent power motor to maybe put in a 3rd gen. Looking for mid 11s n/a, but able to add a bottle for faster down the road.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and I appoligize for my noob questions.

What style connecting rods do you have (H-beam or I-beam)?
What pistons do you have (brand, forged, hyper, dished, flat top, domed)?
What is the casting # on the rear of the block?
What is the casting # of the heads?

Depending on the type of rod used there may be extensive grinding in order on the bottom of the cylinders and pan rails on the block to clear the rods.

In a 3k lbs s10 I went low 12s with a 355 that had ported 882 truck heads. If you are wanting to keep costs down look into buying 97-98 5.7L Vortec heads, those work pretty good for the cost. Or if you can find a set of L98 Corvette aluminum heads those will be good too.
