Default Idle drops after WOT

I have a Quick Fuel 750 double pumper on a heads, cam, and intake 355. I had the carburetor rebuilt recently and have been working through the issues to get it to run perfectly. I have reached that point where I think I have everything adjusted correctly, it will idle great, throttle response is snappy, doesn't stumble at initial throttle, pulls hard at WOT, but after I go WOT in gear or in neutral, the car will idle about 250 rpm lower than what I have it set at and it does not recover. I have let the car sit for a couple hours and started it again without touching anything and idles where it should even after getting past 160-180 degrees. The engine is plenty warm when this happens and never did this before the rebuild. There is no choke on this carburetor. I can go about half throttle and it will return to it's normal idle but when I go WOT and those secondaries open is when the issue happens. I called Quick Fuel on this and they were stumped.

Anyone have any tips or things to adjust on this? I have looked around and found virtually nothing.

You might want to check to ensure that the rear throttle blades aren't hanging up and not returning to their idle position after WOT.

Also check your cable routing, especially the last few inches at the carb. The cable should be nice and straight. But most likely, as mentioned above, the throttle blades need to be moving freely.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will check and see if there is some reason the secondaries aren't completely going back to their original position. I will say I didn't notice anything getting hung up when I was adjusting the accelerator pumps and had to hold the carburetor wide open several times but then again, I wasn't looking at the blades. The throttle cable is nice and straight but another good idea I didn't think of.

You win! I finally got a chance to get back out in the garage last night and sure enough my throttle cable bracket had shifted over to the side a bit. I put the bracket back where it should and tightened it down some more. I took the car out and did a couple WOT pulls and the idle went right back to where it should. Thank you again!
