After looking through these threads I wish I would have researched this a bit before I decided to do the swap I built custom motor mounts because some shop told me it would not bolt in. I changed my stock breaks to a hydro boost system I went with a th400 trans a ran all after market gauges and had the computer taken out of the car but oh well its a one of a kind in my area iam ready for paint and wheels now then the car will be done paint idea was black body green cage but now iam going with red body red cage black hood and t-top bar with alm weld pro stars will post pics when it is finished

Check out my thread, I did the same swap over the winter. https://ls1tech.com/forums/small-blo...2-19-13-a.html

As far as motor mounts if you currently have a v8 car the motor mounts you have now will work, 2 of the 3 bolt holes will line up, If you need/want all 3 you could go with a tubular k-member made specifically for a sbc swap and as for headers any LT1 header will bolt up to a traditional sbc head with no issues. I have the e-bay stainless specials on my car and they fit perfect!!

Nice! Have you taken your car to the track and if so what does it run? I have a 2001 Camaro that I just bought so I have to smog and register it before I go to Fontana. I also have a '73 Nova with a freshly rebuilt 350
