Default Help 383

I have a 1968 sbc 350 with double hump heads
I'm having the block cleaned fluxes ect. and bored 30 over

I am wanting to make the block a 383 stroker and setup for a small boost 5- 8 psi as it may endup as a partial daily driver

There is enough conflicting info out there so
I'm hoping I can get some direct answers / parts list of someone that has extensive knowledge

Looking for above 400hp 87 or 93 gas is fine

Only thing I'm starting with is the clean block

Engine may go in a light 4x4 or classic truck undecided
note# this will be a project for my young kids to do something other then a damn IPad
I have built mostly Ford 302's in the past
several stock chevy rebuilds but nothing for power
some what of a budget build not race but road fun

Needed
Stroker kit info dished or other wise
Heads
Cam
fuel ( I'm looking at fitech 30002 efi carb kit)

I had a street driven 383 for years. made 520 hp at the crank naturally aspirated. It had a chinese forged steel crank and rods (they are Eagle knockoffs) and TRW 4 eyebrow pistons. cam was an Isky Pt # 201602 solid roller heads I used were AFR 210's that I cleaned up by hand myself no real porting done just got the casting garbage out of them basically and a Edelbrock Victor Jr with a 750 Double Pumper Holley and MSD 85551 distributor. Had a Pete Jackson Noisy Gear drive on it. Very basic build but ran hard and beat on it daily. Finally pulled it out and sold it to a friend and built race motor for the car.
Of note I have a FAST XFI kit I purchased from Summit racing for $5,000 with tax I would let it go complete for half that. Put it on and realized I am a carb guy not an FI guy.
