Engine swap Hello.Got a question.I have a 98 Yukon 4X4 5.7 engine I want to put in a 2WD 94 Silverado which has a 5.7 TBI.Both automatics.Swapping only engines.What is the easiest and CHEAPEST way to go about it?Can I swap intakes to make it easier.I can turn wrenches,but older stuff mainly.All this computer and wiring is giving me a headache thinking about it.Would really appreciate some advice and thanks alot.
He should be able to run the vortec heads it might not be cheap or easy but is doable. I believe Edlebrock and GM sell the correct intake. I don't know if you can find them anymore but there used to be a TBI adapter that allowed you to bolt the throttle body onto a carburetor style intake.

Still I suppose he could maybe find or make a TBI adapter plate for a normal dual plane vortec intake But again the tune would no longer be optimal for diff heads, intake exc...
Actually I just looked and they make a plate for exactly that [Trans Dapt 2200] learn something new everyday. There's even a video of a guy with one, see below.

I'd maybe buy the adpater plate and a cheap ebay vortec dual plane(still cheaper to swap heads), tune would prob be good enough but not ideal.
