Default Coil on plug

I have the holley terminator efi switching from a single turbo ls to a twin turbo gen iv 454, I want to run coil on plug instead of a distributor to control timing under boost, what is needed to run a coil on plug setup, with the gen iv 454??

Any advice is appreciated!!

Its not hard, I've got LS coils on my SBC, just got it running this weekend. You will need a way of getting the ECM cam and crank signal, so you will either need a cam sync and crank trigger, or use a dual sync distributor & blank cap, that's what I'm using. Are you using your current harness or getting a new one? What are you doing for injection? Here is the thread on the Holley forums I used to make sure I was going in the right direction, and then used what Danny had as far as the info for the "custom ignition" values https://forums.holley.com/showthread...nc-Distributor. I can post up some pictures or answer any other questions you've got, just let me know. I'm running a terminator, (not a term x) stealth throttle body with trans control (dominator ECU) on my car. I had to add in the Holley 558-307 for the COP harness which is no problem and then built my own coil sub harnesses and welded bungs on my valve covers to mount the ICT Billet coil mounts too.

I am running bosch 210 injectors with a 102 throttle body I don't want to run a crank trigger, I would like to do something like the dual sync but not sure on what to get for it, as I've seen the holley dual sync Distributors have terrible reviews. And I am going to run the holley ls harness I have, if possible .

I don't have a problem with mine, and it's a first gen unit that was used before I got it. They have a tendency to corrode up inside but if you're not sending spark through it they shouldn't. I cleaned mine up and hit it with a little WD-40 before install. Your harness you have will work fine, you'll just want to get the correct wires to the distributor area if you run a dual sync. Other wise you can look into https://www.eficonnection.com/home/c...ne/efi-24x-bbc and then you'll have to run your cam and crank wires to their respective areas on the engine. Once you decide which way you want to go for cam and crank signal it's just a matter of running the wires to their correct area and terminating them correctly and setting up your ignition parameters correctly in the ECU. You'll also be able to remove some wires like for the knock sensors. I looked at the EFI connection set up for a minute but the price and needing to open up my engine steered me away as it was already running and in the car using a carb. I picked up the dual sync used for 100 bucks, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a new one or scour for sale pages for a used one or someone not using theris.

Thank you so much! Just to make sure, with the dual sync you don't need a crank trigger correct? Just a block off cap in the distributor.

Correct, the dual sync provides your cam and crank signal. You just wire that into the Holley and set up your ignition parameters like shown in that link from the Holley tech forums and you'll be good to go. Since the harness I have is a universal throttle body type it had the ignition connector already wired in so the dual sync was plug and play but you could make your own connector or get the corresponding one for the Dual Sync, pin it and run the wires to the correct pins in the ECM. I can look at my notes if you'd like exact pin numbers and such. It's not a great picture and my car is absolutely disgusting but here's a look how I have the coils in my 95.
