Hello everyone, hope all is well. I'm gonna try to make this as short as possible lol.

I have 95 trans am a4, it has a 502 comp cam, bbk headers, K&N Cold air intake, msd optispark, granatelli maf, hi flow cat, 1.6 Compcam roller rockers and slp exhaust merge with a borla resonator oh yea and tune by Solomon.

So I recently repair my engine harness, which required my car to be down for at least 4 months

I got my harness today, install it and fired her up. I was pretty excited hearing her since its been a long time

But when idling, I noticed somethings

1. A lot of smoke coming from the exhaust (of course if it's been sitting for so long, it could be condensation, especially in san francisco where it gets really wet & cold) the only difference is it smelled like a lot of gas

2. The rough idle. While idling, it had a rough idle. I thought again, since it's been unplug from the battery for so long, maybe it's trying to relearn everything. So I plug in the scanner, I noticed in close loop that the passenger side stft was reading as low as 112-60 but the driver side was reading 129-134 which is pretty good. But no SES light.

3. This is when things get kinda odd. At some point I looked down the passenger side, where the headers are located, and i spotted liquid seeping through the top where the headers bolt to the block. I wasn't sure if that was water or something else. So I touched it, and smelled it and it smelled like gas. The thing is that it was so much smoke that i wasn't sure if it smelled like gas or was it just the smoke I was smelling. The driver side is fine, no liquid on that side.

Now it won't start, it does have a somewhat dead battery tho. It still cranks, but the more cranks the more battery losing power.

What could it be? Before taking out the engine harness to get it repaired, I replaced injector, spark plugs, and spark plug wires.

Is it possible the plugs went bad while sitting? Is the gas bad? Im confuse cause this car has not move, first start up on 04/24/2023 today

I appreciate the advice, if somebody can steer me in the right direction.

Could have a stuck open injector. Did you buy quality replacements when you changed them? Get your battery charged or a fresh one and see if you can test your injectors.

LOL they are actually ebay injectors, I know shame on me. They was working good before the harness repair though.

Maybe to much condensation from sitting?

Yea i get a new battery, should have warranty still active.

Very much a posibilty. If you can pop them out and spray some cleaner through them they should be closed with out power. if you get cleaner running through one that's your culprit. You could also have a crossed or pinched wire sending injector pulse keeping them open. What was wrong with the harness that you had to rewove it for repair?

I should try that out, when I get the chance. I did pull one of the spark plugs on the side that was running extremely lean , and it smelled like gas, even the oil cap smelled like gas.

The oil dipstick, also had a slight gas smell to.

I check the fuel pressure regulator hose, and it was dry. You might be right, one of the Injectors probably took a crap.

I'll double check on the pinch wire, while installing the harness I made sure things was in order. But I'll check again

Because a year ago the harness had gotten burn by the headers and was causing bad issues. Most likely got shorted out.
