Hey everyone! This is my first thread here so I hope I can get some answers from some veterans around here. So for starters, me and my buddy bought a 94 C4 vette with the engine and trans taken out, however we got the original engine and trans that came with the car about a year later after buying the car from the same guy. He said it had everything it NEEDED to run, which, as you can probably guess, was a fat lie. So here we are, sitting here with a gen 2 LT1 that has everything needed internally, but everything from the pulleys to the sparkplug wires are gone so we would need to buy practically every little thing to get it back in the car and have it run like it did out of the lot. SO, that brings me to the question I have for the veterans, would it be cheaper to buy all the things needed to actually be able to put the engine back in and have it run like it did out of the lot, or is it cheaper to just buy a different V8 with all the accessories and slap that in instead. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks for reading! A sidenote I should probably mention, the LT1 came with some sort of comp cars valve/spring/rocker setup as well as what I think is an aftermarket cam of some sort. Here is a pic. Not sure what number to lookup but when I searched them, all of them brought me to texas speed cams and/or comp cars cams. Sorry for it being blurry its my only pic.
Did you mean 08-501-8? I don't see any that start with the 7. Either way tyvm. The cams look identical and the rollers and head stuff matches so it makes sense.
Do you know what the CFM would be with this cam and if the stock intake manifolds and/or heads can flow what it puts out? I can't find it anywhere on the site or in the questions there either.
