Default Never see this markings before

I picked up a SBC II block. It is a "327" LT1/4 block. While cleaninh up the block. I found these numbers on the head surface. Left, bottom and rear location. Just above the oil filter. The number are just barely visible. See attached picture.
if anyone know why and what they were used to document and what information they mean.

Seems to be about 9 or 10 characters or digits. Hard to make it out. I can make the last 4 out to out xxxxxx1768.

Let me know if you have any invite to these markings

Can't read this one. Almost looks x'd out. If it's above the oil filter it would be a partial vin and the transmission would of had the same number. Try to make it legible, pencil trace maybe. The first set of the numbers is what you need.

Update, I just ran across a post where this fellow posted his motor ID from his LT1 powered boat V12075NT. I'd say the NT suffix was a boat engine.

I've tried my best to read it. I tried paper and pencil. Using different lighting. It isn't stamped into the block. More like a light laser echoing . The flying cutting from the machining makes it hard to read.
