Default nice looking tall valve covers

i need to upgrade my valve train on my 67 chevelle i just got running so the factory one wont work(id assume i havent actually checked) . what are some good looking covers and where can i finnd em. i would love to use the gm ones with the raised "chevrolet" on them. or maybe something with a fabricated look.

what do you guys think??

ps in case anyones wondering. putting new technology heads on a 15 year old short and not changing the springs results in 12 flat cam lobes

are you going with a big or small block. i might be able to help you out if you're going small block and looking for the raised "CHEVEROLET" with the bow tie. pm me if you're going sbc.

I know those damned raised Chevrolet valve covers are EXPENSIVE new. I think I looked at some for like 200+ I believe. I went with some non named, yet really nice polished aluminum covers and I like them....... I think i have some pics some where I'll look and see if I have any.

guess i should have specified its a 454 with big valved gmpp heads

and yes those raised ones are expensive (315 from gmpartsdirect)

hell for that amount of $$$, might as well go with fabricated covers. A few companies sell nice aluminum covers for around $100-$150 depending on design and if they are etched with flames, ball-milled, etc etc. Almost any speed shop can get these, you can also check out Summit/Jegs.
