that's what you call streetable?!?!?!?!? 14:1CR and 14.5:1CR? you did say street car right? if you want that kind of power, you're gonna be looking at more than just the initial $11K for the motor. you're going to probably want a bunch of the upgrades they offer after getting you in the door. that's what i found out after i researched for a big blo-ck and called them. but you only need those parts if you want reliability and quality, which i'm assuming you do even for a street car. besides, they have some 10:1 and 11:1 motors somewhere on their site, just search it. but beyond that, you're also going to obviously need the proper drivetrain components. but that's not what you're asking about so i wont get into a long detailed parts list or anything.
anyway, if you've got the money and you want big power like that, and streetability, call Graham at Fast Times @ 847)966-3278. when i was going to go BBC, i was going to do one of their 588's with all the best, turn key i think, about 9.5:1CR, carb setup, solid roller, off the shelf heads worked over, and makes 950 hp and something like 900+ tq........did i say on pump gas?!!!!!!! with a 300 shot of the giggles, you've got an 8 sec. street car if you can get it to hook!!! hope that helps.

Dave

yep, streetable means pump gas. The $5 a gallon race gas gets old quick, especially when you can't refill except at the track or a speed shop! $25K should get you a 10 second or quicker car depending on how nice you make it. (I've got almost 20 in my Nova and it's still an 11 second ride)

Well i still have a while to choose but i am not thinkin bout maybe like a 10-15k Z28 (98-02) with little milage and then getting a head/cam set up. Maybe some ls6 parts and possible procharger set up. the prob is that then i would prolly need a 12 bolt and gears. do you think i could get a sweet setup like that for 25? Also do you think i could make some killer hp? I am moving to Cali from Indy and i want a car thats gonna be able to punish pullied 03 cobs and maybe some z06's?

figure:
12 bolt cost 2400-2800 depending on options.
supercharger cost 4,000-6,000
heads and cam I don't know the cost but you can see how this is adding up and all the sudden 25 doesn't cover it.
You might be better off buying a car with all or most of the mods you want..
Just my $.02

racingjunk.com is your best bet. I found a Monte Carlo a while back that was set up for deep 9's with a bbc- and the guy only wanted like 5 grand for everything minus motor! Keep looking and you'd be amazed at some of that stuff.
