V8 Motorcycle Needs More Hp!!!
Hey everyone I need some ideas on my unique situation.
What I have is a V8 motorcycle (Boss Hoss), its runs a 350 ZZ4 crate motor, it weights 1100lbs, and its a pig..I tried a cheater NOS system on it plumbed at 100hp only(pistons)...and that was ok but still boring. What I want to do is upgrade my engine to a 383 stroker and try to get 500hp out of the motor and use a 200 hp NOS shot(700hp). I know I will need forged pistons, but I dont know what specific parts I should be looking for i.e., heads, intake, cam etc. I'm running low 6's in the 1/8 mile, and would like to get under 6..
I cant use too high of an intake because of clearance issues, and air gap type will work, and since the wifes on the back I need to keep the idle in the "not too radical range". Of course price is always an issue.
I sure would apppreciate any ideas....thanks in advance

There are a few well known engine builders selling complete 600-750hp SBC packages. Ranging from 434 cubic inch to 472 cubic inch, they use a severe enough roller cam and extremely well flowing heads to not only make huge torque figures but the HP follows through nicely also.. Pump gas, warranty, etc...
Scott Shaffirof(spelling?) Racing Engines is always a fun place to start looking. Bill Mitchell Hardcore Parts does the Motown based 427's and 454 SBCs also.
I love nitrous and promote it like I invented it but it seems way to violent to use on a bike that has a street tire on it, especially a 200 shot. And a solid 200 shot will need a 10 or 15lb bottle which would be very bulky, even on a huge bike.

i recomend 383 ci, 10.5 cr afr 195 cc heads, performer rpm air gap intake, and comp extreme energy cam with duration in the upper 240s to lower 250s @.o50. i probably wouldn't spray over 150 on a dual plane because or mixture problems though.

rip out the SBC and run two turboed Hyabusa engines. 450bhp per unit and they only weigh 75-80kg each (inc turbos and gearbox). all you would have to do is throw about 20K at it!
go with what the above have said, my idea is dumb!
Chris.

upgrade to the 502 or 572.
My dad had the chance to ride the 502 Boss Hoss but decided to not chance it. lol. The 502 lays the smack down on Turbo'd Busa's. With a touch of nitrous but still.
