What pushrods to use? lenght, width etc...
What pushrods to use? lenght, width etc... Getting ready to put a new hydraulic cam with hydraulic lifters in my beastly 332, what pushrods should i get for it? I know chromoly but what length, width, 1 or 2 piece? Help me out, looking to order ASAP.
This sounds like a bored 327..am I right? Good motor so I would check with crane or comp cams for valvetrain componets. Are you running the 5/16" pushrods now? The 5/16ths should be fine with a hydraulic cam on a street car. I wouldnt mess with valvetrain geometry....just keep the stock length pushrod...What size is the cam BTW?
I would recommend the crane chrome moly heat treated pushrods....stock length....part number from Jegs is 270-11621-16...95.99 for the set. These will last you for a long long time.

Yeah thanks mike you pinned it on the nose. I am running the stock size in there now, and they are chromoly ones by crane. So ill probably end up staying with them seeing as they only have a few hundred miles on them. Should be ok when i go to put this new cam in. Let me know what you think of this cam. The specs are:
