I'm putting a engine together now and its pretty close to getting assembled. So for fun i just want to know what some of you guys think ill make HP wise. Here is the setup.
383
4340 forged rods and crank
forged pistons and light weight wrist pins
compression ratio is about 10:1
zero decked block
vortec heads with bigger exhaust valves
intake and exhaust valves are undercut
Full pocket port, minor intake porting, and quite a bit exhaust porting.
30# injectors
CC 306 cam 230/245@050 with .510/.540 lift
1.6rr so the lift will be more like .540/.570
and of course headers and intake
Probably some other things that i can't think of. Anyways what are your guesses
what intake is going on there, like a vortec truck intake??
id guess a little over 400hp at the crank??? should be plenty of torque to be fun is it a 4x4 or 2wd?
I think the key is the tune on the marine setup thats going on there. 365 to the wheels should be well within reason, with over 400 rwtq. Also, what are you doing with your old upgraded injectors that you have? I'm shooting for 345 rwhp, and 400 rwtq when I add electric fans and possibly the vmax spacer on mysetup. I think that with that cam you need a big stall, 3200 would be good imo. Keep us updated.

I'm working on putting a intake manifold off of a marine engine. The runner design is similar to the orignal intake but without all the crap inside it. It has external fuel rails and replacable injectors. It should flow WAAAAY better than the stock truck manifold. Also it's a 2wd extended cab that weighs 4440 fully loaded with me in it and a full tank
what rods? 5.7 or 6.0"
5.7 rod

Ya i will probably be working on tuning for a little bit. I sent ya a pm on the injectors. For the stall i just bought a TCI SF3000 and from what im told some people think it might stall a little higher like 3200. Its the 10" with the 12" HD lockup.
