What Are these and Do i need them?
Ok so me and my buddy have managed to spare a 94 Z28 for a track car. There tare down is just about through. I have 2 questions for you guys.
1. What is this..? I think it is some sort of emissions control unit. If not let me know. This car when we are done will be a strictly trailer/track car. Can i bypass this unit and elminate it?
and..
2.Is this the ABS unit? If not, what is it? Can it be bypassed and eliminated too?

Not sure what the 1st one is, most likely emmissions. The second one is your brake proportioning valve/ABS. You will definitely need it unless You want to make your own or go manual brakes.

The kit to delete it is like $125 if i understood their site correctly. I cant afford that type of dough on a project car. Has anybody ever relocated the ABS unit on their lt1?

You might be able to use a brake prop. valve from a rear disc thirdgen. I believe they are just small aluminum units. Im guessing the threads are probably the same. And youre in luck, i have some pics off of my old 89RS with rear discs. You can find them around for cheap and the threads are probably the same. You might have to reshape the lines a little.
