plug gap 200-250 shot
Any of you guys running a 200-250 shot on your car? I'm running Autolite AR3910's in my 10:1 496 and I was wondering what gap you are setting your plugs at for 200 and up.
I'm about to put a new set in for the new season (it's March already!) and I was running them at .032" last year NA. I did have a little foul problem if I just let the car idle for like 5 minutes or if I was just putting around in stop-and-go traffic, but nothing too major if I just cleaned it out a little. I want to gap these for the bottle ahead of time so I don't have to do it again, but I don't know if the spark will blow out with a 200 and up at .032".
Will it be fine or would you go smaller? TIA

I'm running mine at .32 and have no problems firing on a 250 shot. It is more pain in the *** to start when its cold, but i'm not daily driving it. I'm also running a digital ignition with the hvc coil and race plug wires.

Yeah I can just about forget trying to start the car when it's like 40 and below. I'm running the digital 6 box, blaster 2 coil, pro billet distributor and 10.4mm taylor wires. A friend of mine was running a 408 mustang on a 250 and had to bring his gap down to .028". That car had a lot more compression though, about 12.5:1.
