Default Help decoding block numbers on 1969 small block

The casting number is 3932386 which I have found to mean it could be a 302,327, or 350. I want to narrow it down further from the stamped numbers on the front of the block- 19DO23798 and V11O4FB. Thanks!

Maybe the 302, 327, and 350 block are all the same since they use a 4" bore. I think in '67 all 327s switched to large 350 size journals, so I wouldn't be suprised if the blocks are identical.

you have a 1969 327, that originally came with a powerglide and 235 hp with a 2 barrel carb and was in a full size car. the engine was built in Flint, Michigan on November 4th. is that narrowed down enought?

To break it down even further... (1) is Chevrolet, (9) is Model year,(D) is the cars assy plant, (023798) are the last 6 of the cars VIN. (V) is the Flint assy plant, (1104) is the date the block was machined, and (FB) is its intended application. The motors were built and racked, the V1104FB was stamped at that time and the 19D023798 was stamped by hand in the block as it was actually going into the car, thats why the first stamping that was machine done is always nice and straight and the second stamping is usually not as "nice" or as straight. HTHs......... Bill
