The BMR is a nice piece but its also 500 bucks, PA racing version is only 298 plus mounts. UMI is suppose to be coming out with a Beefy as version sometime this month but i dont believe prices have been released.

simply badass! - I'm in the middle of a 427BBC swap in my 84 Corvette. it's always nice to see someone come into the light. there simply is no substitute for cubic inches! good luck to everyone and when we get these all finished up we'll have to meet up someplace and shoot the ****!

Does anyone have pics of the 2455 hooker headers installed in a big block 4th gen f-body ? Is the a bigger primary header available that would fit? I was kicking around the idea of this for awhile and if other have done it and could point me in the right direction Id appreciate it. I was going to use a front motor plat and a poly mount of the trans. Is that ok ? What kind of things would you hane to do the get the distributer in and carb to clear the firewall ?

big block eye candy from my chassis guy. this is not my car, but a buddy Paul's car. He had gone 10.80's on a completely stock ls1 with a dual stage and TH400. now on to this thing
before pic..
chassis guy is the same guy who did the Impala on the Summit Racing Cover...

You will also most likely need to go with a crank trigger ignition. I cant see even with the cut cowl how to easily get back there to do anything back there. From day one I have been planning on running an MSD crank trigger.

Slow, nice pictures thanks! Interesting how he replaced the firewall like that. I never really considered that because of the rules that change when you modify the firewall and/or floorboards like that.

No prob... the car is all tubular from the front subframe back. full interior will be tinned. full 4-link setup, etc... not going for any class, just fun. motor did like 1100 on the engine dyno. has a fogger ready to be tossed into the mix as well.
he modified the firewall so he could set the big block back a little further. has a TON of room up front now for the accessories. it's a pretty "raw" photograph but will obviously look better when everything gets painted and finished. the car has the mike moran hood, so because of hos big that is, that is why he cut up into the window like that. it's getting the percy's speed glass up front.

Very nice pics. Thanks for the crank trigger idea. That may be the way to go. Anymore ideas on the headers. How high of a hood would you need with the big block. I know it depends on the setup but any rough ideas with a standard deck and victor with dominator.

Are there any bolt in headers for big block to f-body with big primaries. Also is there any oil pan problems with the kmember. How much room is in the front of the motor with it in the stock location.
