Default V6 To V8 Swap Complete, fueling problem

Alright, here is what is going on

1985 Pontiac Firebird
2.8V6 to 355 SBC Swap
T5 to T350 swap
Electric to Mechanical Fuel Pump
FI to Carb Setup

Just to name some of the conversion. Here is my question. He still has the stock V6 in tank fuel pump in there. What would he need to do in order to make this setup work? Also has the V6 Fuel Filter(if that matters) He was thinking of taking out the pump but to replace it with what? Also, Could he use the electric pump with a pressure regulator? How have you all dealt with this problem? Any help and/or part numbers would be great. Let me know of any options he has.

I would have left the old pump in the tank, disconnected the harness, and plugged the old lines. Then plumbed an AN fitting into the tank. Then using a good elec. pum like a holley or aeromotive to suit your needs with a good regulator. Thats it, wire it all up & it should work fine. Good Luck.

You will need a return style fuel pressure regulator to lower the fuel pressure or else you will push fuel past the needles.

I've done sorta the same swap w/a 3slow5 using the v6 fuel pump w/a mallory 4309 afpr. Swap should be done before the T/A nats.
