10 bolt i own a 95 and a 71 z28. both are 10 bolt rear ends. i hear the 4th gen. cars have a glass rear end,but the 71 10 bolt is better. i want to go to the track with the 71,but don' want to go if the rear is going to break. anyone here have first hand experiance with a stock 71 10 bolt? i was rebuilt, same ring and pinion that it came whith 4:10. both cars are auto. a4 400 turbo. thanks. greg

I'd say go ahead and run it, I'm pretty damn sure the 2nd gen F-body 10 bolt is the 8.5" 10 bolt that was used in the 80s G-bodies and in B-bodies in the 80s and 90s. The 8.5" is a pretty durable rear.
