External or Internal Balance Flywheel?? Hey guys
I'm trying to figure out what kind of flywheel to use on a GM 350HO Deluxe crate engine. We're converting it from a TH350 to a 4-speed standard.
Its a 1-piece rear main seal engine, and from what I've been told, it will need an "externally" balanced flywheel to work properly. However, what I don't understand it that the old flexplate didn't have any heavy counterweighs or anything on it, yet it worked just fine, no problems with vibration or anything.
Any help would be appreciated, I have to order the flywheel ASAP. Thanks.
