New BBC I'm new to the building up an engine from scratch club. I'm trying to build up a 454 from nothing. I've been looking at parts and posts for quite some time, and now I've got a vehicle to dump them in. I'm trying to figure out what to get, so I don't leave a part out of the buying process. I'm fully capable of assembling the engine, and I know what I want to get outta the engine in the end. I want it to be a street/strip car. I want an old school type of 454 with a dual carb and a supercharger. I'm gonna put a lot of work into the car, and I don't care how much time it takes, but I want to do as much of the work as possible myself. What would be a good block to start with? Heads/Pistons/Crank? If you guys could point me in a detailed build up page, I'd appreciate it. I need to know all the parts I'm gonna need, and best application for my engine. Thanks for taking it easy on the noob.
