high rpm build hey all I have a fiero that I put a 3.4DOHC into, I love how it revs to the moon and makes power all the way. But I want more power and ive always wanted a muscle car so im going to put a small block chevy into it.
Id like to keep some of the high rpm characteristics but still make at least 450hp, so I need to decide on a platform. I was thinking of a 327, 383, 377, or a 400. I want to redline at 7000 but not drop torque until 6500, I dont care too much about low end power since its a light car. My budget max is about $3000
any ideas?

If You Are Going For Rpm's For Low Bucks Always Go Small Journal 283/302/327. (keeping In Mind You Can Cheat Yourself Into A 302 Via A 283 If You Want) All Are Internally Balance Because They Are Short Stoke And Excluding The 283 , Big Bore 4.000. A Good Set Of Pink Rods (new Bolts). Go With 2.02 Int. And 1.60 Exh. Double Humps 58 To 64 Cc(PREFERABLY PORTED) Be Sure To Install Good Screw In Studs Guide Plates And Roller Rockers. If You Do Your Research You Can Pick A Good Lift And Duration Cam To Fit The Bill. The Main Thing To Always Check Is Your P To V. I Have Seen Way Too Many Bent Valves Because The Builder Didnt Check It. IT Would Put 400 Hp Well Within Your Grasp As Long As Your Not Too Anxious And Keep Your Ears Open For The Parts You Need. Most Of The Cost Will Be From The Machine Shop So Do Your Shopping And Research And Your Goal Can Be Reached. These Parts Are Very Plentifull If You Look In The Right Places And For A Good Price Hell I Got More Than I Will Ever Need Now And Need To Get Rid Of Them. 283/327 Lg/sm Cast/steel 302/350 Block More Than Willing To Unload.
