Throttle Cables... what are my options?
Outside of the Lokar street rod cables, what does everyone use for a throttle cable? The car was originally fuel injected, but now has a carburated big block so I am in need of a cable.

The stock cable will work in most applications, just takes a little ingenuity.. I (just today) hooked up the 36" lokar street rod cable, worked out good.

We use rods when possible, much safer, but not always easy to make work.
I had the stock cable on my slow car, as said, takes a little work sometimes.
Good luck, make sure it can't get hung up.

Here are some pics, hope they help. The cable is Lokar.Just pull the cable out of the shield ,take the piece off the end ,put your plastic piece off the factory cable(where it goes in the pedal linkage inside car)on the cable, put it back through s.s.sleeve,then cut to length.I have the jegs throttle cable bracket for the lokar cable, has worked just fine.Oh yeah, make sure you slide the sleeve on the carb end back on the s.s. sleeve before you cut to length. It's a bitch to put back on after you cut the braided stainless steel.
