Default ignition setup

Hey guys I have a couple questions regaurding ignition setups on gen I sbc's. I have a 350 punched .30 over, 10.2 to 1 compression pistons, a holly 750, Cast Iron, 67cc Chamber, 165cc Intake Runner, 1.94/1.60 summit racing heads along with 4.10 gears, a Pete Jackson gear drive, and a Moroso Mechanical Water Pump.

Now that is out of the way the car has a standard HEI on it and I know that a 350 is not going to rev crazy high but at 5500ish rpm's it cuts ignition like a brick wall. I would not have a problem with this but the car is at this time pulling very very strongly. The cam in it is a hydraulic flat tappet Isky Racing cam 280/ 280, .485/ .485 lift 108 degrees lobe seperation. The cam should be good to make power upto around 7000rpm and the intake should be good till around 6500rpm I just need to know a good ignition setup that will keep up. I would like to stay away from brain boxes and such because I want to keep the car semi-era correct(64 Impala) but I do want something that will allow me to rev 600 to 1000rpm more.

How do you know its cutting the ignition? Are you scoping the ignition? Does it just stop pulling, and you think its the ignition? What have you checked? What have you ruled out? And BTW, lay off the weed. It fogs the mind.

Stock HEI's are known to start breaking up above 4500-5000rpm. There are plenty of aftermarket HEI's (MSD, Pertronix, Mallory etc) that will provide reliable spark at 6500+ rpm.
