BBC on a 1985-3rd gen camaro ?

I had to do no modification to fit the motor. I had to do quite a bit of modification to fit the headers =].
On the passenger side, I had to hammer the firewall in about 1/2 inch at the very bottom. (Just to round it out a tad so the header wouldn't rub).
On the driver side, I had to put a little dent into the "frame" so the flange wouldn't rub.
All in all, it wasn't a hard swap. Myself and my buddy did it in the drive way with a few spot lights between 10pm and 6am... (We always work at odd hours).
BTW, this was a 1987 Trans Am, with a ZZ502 and the Hooker Long tube/Equal Length swap headers...
Post up any more questions if you wish. (I may be slow to respond since I am new to this forum and don't frequent as much as I want to).

My 502 fit fine, oil pan was a little close to the K member, but when I pulled it, there was no rubbing. I used the factory mounts. Car came w/ a 305, the mounts worked with my 350, and then to my 502.
(I was too poor to buy motor mounts! 18 years old at the time, and dumped all my money into a motor!)
3 years from then and I've learned.

^ As already mentioned, a big block chevy into a 3rd generation is one of the easiest swaps there is. Heh, the BOP engines are getting much easier these days as well. Click Here .....

it's about the best place for the swap. the headers fit incredible for the price.
