Default How rough is this cam?

I got a Lunati Solid flat 245/255 @.050 532"/552" 106LSA I know its a rough cam but how rough it is? it will be in a 355 with sportsman II heads, victor jr intake,750 chokeless carb,LTs,pulleys,,,,etc but does anyone have a video of the same rough idle this cam got? I tried in you tube and the roughest cam I found was 112LSA

Your car will go "rump.....rump....rump".

What's the rest of your combo? (compression and what stall are you going to use, etc)?

the compression will be around 10-10.5 and I will put Fuddle converter 3500stall,3.73 and my camaro already got posi,255/50/16 M/T but Im thinking of Centerline convos 15×4 front and 15×10 on the back but I cant find the perfect back space so I will leave it for later,Eibach sportline kit,KYB AGX,the tranny is 700 R4 with shift kit and clutchs so all I need is gear cooler from B&M,B&M pro ratchet shifter,Long tube hooker super competition custom Y pipe and already it got Magna flow cat back thats all I can remember for now

so with this cam I will lose the brakes right? and I need the vacuum reservoir, all this for a 92 Camaro Z28 25th anniversary

im no cam expert but with a compression ratio of 10-10.5 will be a little low for a cam with that much overlap

That cam is way too big for that engine combonation. You will have to run it to 8000rpms to get any power out of it.What is your end goal from this engine/car?

My convo pros are 15x8.5, is that maybe what you had? I think you might be able to gtind your rear calipers like a LT1/LS1 do i am sure.

Swap cams, that puppy is way big and you'll likely have more fun with something smaller. Keep in mind that you may have to run race gas (or at least a mix w/93 pump) with a 11-12.5:1 compression ratio and iron heads. Aim a bit lower 10:1 or less and you'll be safer.

That is a circle track type grind. It will have a nasty idle, but be very streetable as long as you run at least a 3500 converter. The 106 center gives it good low end power and in a 350 will pull good from 3500 to around 7200 and sound good. I ran that cam in my work truck that had a 406 and 10 to 1 compression. I drove it thru the winter and back and forth from michigan to mass it always ran great.

What do you consider good low end power-how about some dyno numbers
And a 350 requires a totally different cam than a 406.
