Default Main and Rod bearing question

What Main / Rod Bearings would you guys recoment for a hi power hi rpm 355 Sbc with a cast steel crankshaft ?

What is your budget? How much HP? How much rpm do you plan on turning? That cast steel crank is stronger than what most people will give it credit for. I've seen them live at 600-620 HP turning 7200 rpm regularly in the alcohol modified's around here. Make sure that you buy some good rods, as that is where I see most of the failures in these motors.

i think the motor will be around 500-530 hp and i will spin it to 7500-8000 rpm... so what bearings do you guys recomend ?

If you go with King use their Alecular HP series. The ACL H-series bearings are good. The Clevite H-series have been used for years without problems. Just make sure to get a H-series as the back of the bearings are stiffer and less likely to distort & spin. I prefer the coated H bearings myself.

what do you guys think about the BI Metal bearings are they any good ?

Bi metal is for stock and low powered metals i think, i could be wrong on that.
