Default help with a 77 corvette please

I just picked up a 77 corvette with a 350 and an auto transmision. currently the car has a holly 750 carb an edelbrock intake manifold a unknown set of longtube headers and the rest of the motor is assumably stock. what are some good upgrades for this car? can someone point me in the direction of a place to find interior parts as well please.

here is a link to some pictures ignore my buddy mike in the pictures

Well, as usual a cam swap, but if that thing is original, a 383 stroker kit, aftermarket heads(even vortecs) with a retro roller kit with a cam of your choice, if it is a auto, swap to a 700R4, if it is a stick, swap to a T56, that would be something i would do. As for interior...probably going to cost more for that then the engine if you buy everything new.

This reminded me of my father in law after he bought a 78. " Why is this thing so slow, it won't even spin the tires " he asks me. After I told him it was only in the 200hp range from the factory he understood. You'll need the shooting match for sure. Heads, cam, intake, and as stated before, stoke it or install some higher comp. pistons.

Damn... I used to have a 77 and it was my favorite car EVER(stoopid ex-Wifey). Agree with all above... H/C/I just be mindful of your hood clearance. There is a company out of knoxville Tn that sells a t56 swap kit for it and a 700r4 is an easy swap-in as well. You may also want to look into stainless sleeving the calipers if it hasn't already been done... it'll keep you from having to re-bleed your brakes every couple of months.

I have a 79. It is fairly quick but takes a lot of money to get there. I have done (and this is a pretty sweet combo):

Engine:
Bored 30 over, 400 crank (383 setup)
Edelbrock 1903 795CFM carb
Edelbrock performer intake manifold
Trick Flow 23* Heads
Hooker LTs
KB Flattop pistons
Com-Cams 230/236 487/490 110 LSA
high flow oil and fuel pumps
1.5 roller rockers
HEI dist & hyfire ignition system

Transmission swapped to 700R4:
Corvette servo
Shift kit
Zpack clutches
3500 stall w/lockup TC

Almost everything on the engine is forged/upgraded, but I only listed major components. I might go to a different cam, but this one is pretty nice and streetable. It runs pretty well. Good luck with your build

unfortunatly after goin through the car more it is to far gone for me to restor since I have no access to a lift and someone had changed the rear over to a solid rear. I have put the car up for sale at a $2000 price and am firm on that since that is what I have invested.
