tuned port to carb
Some of us have all that **** laying around, not to mention a used carb is EASY to come by, a distributor is 50$ shittped new on Ebay, a regulator for carb is WAY cheaper than the EFI reg. Manifold for the SBC is cheap used and the LSxintake is the most expensive part for the carbed LSx swap. If you cannot tune a carb then you will be spending too much for it to matter much less build it yourself. For those that build our own **** we have it made.

i would have to disagree, my 89 gta came stock w/ the tpi and it had tons of torque and hauled ***, instead of going the easy way i picked up a LT1 manifold and modified it to fit my heads, a few days later the car went 4 tenths faster and picked up 8mph, and now i get to rev up to 6k rpms still making power instead of falling on its face at 4.5k AND i still get the same gas mileage, plus i only ended up spending a fraction of what a new, intake, carb. fuel lines, fuel regulator and all tha stuff costs... just my 2cents
I was fortunate enough to have someone show me, but I've been continuing my learning, doing chips for other people and showing them how to do their own, for the last six years.
