Anyone have one sitting around w/ the stock bolts?

How far above the top of the filter adapter assy. do the threads extend?

This is for an 86 (1pc rear main) SBC, and I'm putting a non-stock filter adapter on. Didn't want to pull the original one yet.

Also:

For 5/16-18 partial-thread black cap-head bolts where do I find some that have smaller heads? My local Ace fails me. Mcmaster carr has some w/ 11/16" heads and I'd like smaller.

Grade 5 and loctite red? I figured so, since they're not subject to constant stress; just heating / cooling.

well you are in luck, I happen to have one thats apart on my roller engine im fixign to start rebuilding. If this is what you need, the bolts stick out right at 1/2" from the face of the housing to the tip of the bolt.
