Just do it yourself, it's not very hard to do.. I've pulled my tranny out and put it back in 4 times this year trying to get the converter right.. You can probably have it out and back in the car in about 5 hours.. The hardest part is getting to the top bolts.. Just make sure you get the car up high enough on jack stands and use alot of extensions to get to the top bolts..

PM 02402RAMAIR, Kris Keltner can do it at his station in Little Rock. Excellent work. He did my LS6 swap and 4L80E swap. If your looking for a bigger stall I have a TCI:

242937 TCI 4L60E Super Street Fighter Torque Converter with Billet Cover, 3500 Stall Speed, 2.7:1 STR 1998-2002 LS1 F-body & 1999-up GM Trucks w/ 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0L, '04-'05 GTO, New $859.99. I have run synthetic fluid since i purchased. Bought it freshened up by TCI from bluecajun5.3. It was in my truck for 8 months and put around 2500 miles on it. Asking $ 450.00.

Here's a pic of the LS6 swap on my truck that Kris did.

Yea, Kris does good work. Its really not that hard to do yourself. I did it for my first time not too long ago. Can be done with basic tools. But if you are dead set on having someone do it, PM Kris.

Did it in under 2 hours in my Car, can be done very easily.

Got a friend that runs a Shop in Jacksonville, pretty much where I do all my work.

That's why I love my sawzall.

To the OP, it's really not much of a chore, like so many have mentioned. Like mentioned earlier, just make sure it's high enough. I would offer to do it since I have access to a two post anytime I want, but I'm a good bit of a drive for you just for that.
