So, what are ya'll thinking about this blizzard? Has anyone been brave enough to drive their F-bodies in it?

I chose to detail my car during the snow. A good clay bar and wax does a car good.

Forunately I drive a cobalt to work, 110 miles round trip to North Charleston and back, every day. My Z28 is in my garage and I don't have to take it out in Nasty weather, unless it's an emergency.

I was stuck at home Monday, and for a half day today. Had a lot of ice out where I live. Black ice and frozen bridges on the roads to our house this morning. I finally got out around 9:30. Once I got to I-26 it was in pretty good shape. I have had enough of that stuff. We don't usually get this much cold weather at one time, but this year is definitely different.

You're right about this weather... It is crazy for this area. I drive an 80 mile round trip to and from school everyday, and luckily I have the mustang for that. I live out in the middle of no where, so the whole trip to town was horrible and I pretty much just slid the whole way... Hopefully it's not quite as bad tomorrow. The Z may even get started up tomorrow if it's not to cold out.

My fwd, underpowered Volvo runs like a champ in this ice/snow. A 6spd with drag radials doesn't seem like a good idea in this crap. I haven't even started/drivin the T/A in a month in a half, hopin the battery isn't dead.

You need one of the Battery Tenders. I bought one last year. They are great. One will keep you battery fully charged all the time. Very easy to hook up and use.

Default Meet

We have a meet that we started not too long ago at sonic in Summerville on Saturdays @ 730, but lately it's been too cold for people to come out. There's always the rice-bowl at the Super Sofa Store in North Charleston which is usually decent sized but it's pretty clique-ish and has a lot of, well, ricers. I'm in James island right now and I'm down for doing a meet whenever.

ok then. it would be cool to have maybe a track day meet in Jackson, SC at the house of hook. i think Darlington would be a bit too far for you guys.

anything going on in Columbia ?

Google darlington dragway. It's prolly the closest to both of us. There's also the house of hook in Jackson, SC.

Not sure about any speed shops over there.
