Darlington's a little bit closer than Aiken (House of Hook). There's a 1/8th mile strip in Lugoff. It's not very good, but it's only 20 minutes away and it's a fun way to kill a few hours. What part of Columbia are you in?

We have a fairly new track in Bowman, but it is 1/8 mile. I don't care for 1/8 mile tracks, but there are not many 1/4 mile tracks around. Land is @ a premium these days.
I have not been to Jackson in a while, but I believe they still run 1/4 mile.
So that would be Jackson and Darlington. Are there any other 1/4 tracks in SC that I am missing?

Yes jackson is still a 1/4 mile track. i went there back in 2009. for it being the "house of hook"....i didnt hook for **** !!

I'm not sure how good Carolina Chassis Dyno is with our cars. I was talkin to a guy with a 408 in his T/A that they tuned and the numbers seemed a little low. I think CPR is better and the guys that used to be there (Richard's Perf.) specialize is LS motors so I take it to their new shop.

oh and i'm right next to fort jackson. might have to check out the lugoff track just for the hell of it. what night is test and tune and when do the gates open?

Gotcha. I'm about 10 min from the Fort. Midlands Dragstrip has test-n-tune on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11. I'll probably go out there with a small group within the next few weeks just for somethin to do. When people aren't being poonjabs we can usually get a group of 5-9 cars and we'll get food and cruise out there so if you wanna roll just let me know.

Ive been in Beaufort for about 2 years now. I was stationed out in California for 4 years and you would always see different car clubs out there and everything. I dont see or hear about alot of them here but perhaps I havent been looking hard enough. Im up for getting together with someone to take a drive or just bs about f-bodies. Ill keep checking this forum for word. Thanks

^ Yea. I'm thinkin around March or April we should try to get a cruise together or something. Most of my friends are in the Nissan/Infiniti club around here and they started putting meets together for all makes/models that have good turnouts. Plus there's always the Fat Boy's meets in Lexington that'll fill a parking lot in a hour with some badass cars.

Actually we have one member in NC and another one in Columbia. They can't make as many events but they are diehard car guys.....and will do whatever it takes to join in the fun. Mikey (Columbia) drives 2 hours to come up to our Sunday night cruise ins at Quaker in Greenville.
Most of our members are in their 20's but we have one member that's 73 years old. He drives a twin turbo C6 and goes to drag strip with us all the time.
We've had group "track days" at Greer, Shady Side, Union and Ware Shoals.
We have a few friendly grudge matches just for fun.
