Help with insurance hail damage
My (owned), Civic'12 got hail damage. The assessor estimated it at $2700 and with our $2K deductible, he wrote us a check for $700, which we did NOT cache yet.
Amongst others, he wrote that we need to REPLACE the hood (that also has a rock-chip).
But we found a local PDR shop that can fix the entire car for $1200, and instead of replacing the hood, they will just PDR it.
Will the insurance check on us whether we replaced the hood or not?
Will the PDR result in any loss of warranty (e.g. paint warranty, hood warranty) since we won't install a new hood?
Can this affect the Factory Warranty (e.g. paint warranty) of the car and of the hood?
Can it affect the insurance coverage for the next time there is damage to the hood (e.g. from hail or other)?
Also ... what if the PDR leaves a damage to the car? Will the insurance cover it?
What will the Carfax records show for our car?
Any help is REALLY appreciated! Many thanks
