I know here in Knoxville we have a few performance shops that have a dyno and software, but I am not really sure on their knowledge of LS motors or HP tuners, etc.

With that said, is there anyone close to East TN you guys would recommend that is good with LS engines? Swapped in a new cam and need to get the idle and whatnot ironed out

He's not in Tn but it's worth the drive up to Shortuning, James is probably the best around on the LSs

I know this is an old thread, but if you haven't found a guy who can tune, In-tune motorsports in Charleston is probably one of the best.

I think we are pretty much in a LS1 dead one in Eastern TN. I moved here two years ago from Florida. In Florida, it seemed you could not throw a rock without hitting a decent tuner. Here, not so much. Thought I had nailed down with a tuner a state away, but it started to take weeks to get an email answer and he never followed through on what he said. So...off to find another.

At this point I think I may just load up my trailer and take it back to Florida for a few days.

FWIW Around Atlanta is SPARTAN Performance and Vengance Racing, both are heavy hitters in the LS tuning game!

There is also Mallett cars 11148 Treynorth Dr.
Cornelius, NC 28031... they have been in the ls world for a while... i lived in knoxville for a while, there is no one there... i would tell you to go to either Vengeance Racing or Injected engineering in Atlanta or Tick performance in NC... i havent had any work done from Tick, but they helped me pick a cam... I've had work done from both Vengeance and Injected and they are both great shops and very easy to deal with... Just go with who is closer and cheaper, you should be happy with any of the 3 shops

Since this post I've gotten into tuning using HP tuners. I've done couple buddies cars as well as mine and everything seems to be doing well a couple months later. I'm in the Knoxville area, if anyone is interested just send a message.
