Anyone going to the Maggie Valley NC show this year
I can't do the 3 day thing but may stop in at the show on Saturday. It's too bad they want the full entry fee even if you just want to do the one show day.
I’m thinking about going. I went a few years ago as a spectator. Thinking about bringing the 96 Z28/SS or my 94 Formula with the IRS. I don’t have Facebook so I’m finding it hard to find out any real information on how the show is judged. Classes based off generations? Classes based off number of mods? Etc. Are all cars judged together and off a points system? Any ideas?
I used to go and enter all the time, and they did have different classes but I can't remember the break down. I have won an award or two before, probably Top 10 or Top 25 or whatever it was back then. The judging is NOT a points system professional breakdown and is subjective to the judges who are well versed in F-bodies but probably have way less knowledge than our own RPM WS6
If you do go I'll say hello and look for either car unless you can tell me in advance which car you bring. Not sure if I'm going on Friday or Saturday as the weather is always key. The only negative with the show, other than the 3 day admission price, is the ending time at 5:00 on Saturday. It's a long day.
Right now I'm thinking about going on Friday with the $5 admission to the swap meet. I won't be paying $40 to register for one day, plus Saturday is going to be HOT even in that wonderful setting.
