Yeah, I'm not going to give a certain shop I got some parts from some REALLY BAD PRESS just yet, damage report in the morning.

Just a little update: CM made real good on the problem, and cut me a hell of a deal on new parts. Deburred/smoothed out the piston, and fixed the cylinder wall. Here's 2 quick pics


Cleaned up and deburred piston. It's smooth again, not nearly as bad as it could be, certainly drivable until the new motor is financed

Maybe it's a bad picture, but that piston still looks like ***.

Its got pits as you can see, but no more high spots, and its nice and smooth on top. It'll work until the new motor arrives
