I read about your car on the website, pretty bad assed. How do ya'll feel about Manuals in this area? Other than breaking stuff. Do you have any suggestions on overcoming breaking stuff. Eventually, I would like to run some good numbers and keep the M6.

ive had great luck with not breaking things so far, i check my gear setup about every 40 passes, and dont miss gears which im assuming is why my stock trans is holding up so well to this point, i have 150passes on the motor/trans probably since it was stock and atleast 80 of them were in the 10's, as long as you set up your drivetrain right and keep the slack out of it, generally holds up farily well. manuals in this area seems to be the growing trend lately since all these southern 6-speed guys are managing to somehow stay ahead of the auto cars for now anyway.

Cool that is some good info. Now, I need to start by ditching the 10 bolt.

its has the stock LS1 block that came in the car. I was cam only until i spun three rod bearings. So i took it out and had Allan @ FMS to build my new setup (forged 346). The 10:70 is on a 150 shot and nittos. The tranny i had in the car (stock a4) would not shift gears from 2-3, so i was all over the rev limiter. And still managed to pull off the 10:705 @ 126. I just swaped to a TH400 but have not made any passes with it in the car yet. It should run low 10's on the spray now. The best motor pass with an N20 tune was 11:42. but Rodney can tell you this. A nitrous cam will not run near as good as a N/A cam will if you are making N/A passes.

I used to drive my 86 MCSS everyday, so the Camaro is a blessing on gas even if the cost per gallon is high. I appreciate the info. Did either of you grind the calipers to put on wheels? Had any problems? I am going to buy some new wheels and tires soon. I have been thinking about buying some factory SS wheels or some draglites. I have a Z-28 with the 16x8's. Not which way I'll go.

Yeah but the Desiel tows the heavy T/A of mine like a dream. I got a really good deal on the truck or else i would have been riding in a gas burner.

I ground my calipers. It takes a while to get the wheels to fit just right. Look into spacers. Some wheels don't require any grinding. I know that the Weld Pro-stars do but the XP's don't. you will just pay a little more for the XP. I have not had any problems out of them being grinded either.

I'm going to hit ya'll up once I move over here. Hopefully, the house will sell this week. My folks live in Madison, and I work in Canton, so I'm around everyday. Let me know the next time ya'll head to the track. I haven't been going to Hub City as much as I should.
